Hacktoberfest 2020 is all wrapped up and finished. What a fun event it was this year. Our awesome developer MVPs did a great job setting up and coordinating the Now Components GitHub org for the dozen of repositories that were collaborated on there. It resulted in my first podcast recording ever with the Author of Podcasting for Dummies Chuck Tomasi. Brad and I acted as maintainers on both the component and spoke orgs, which was a ton of fun.

A big thank you to all the folks that contributed issues provided feedback, created enhancements via pull requests (PR), and of course, the maintainers who managed all those PRs. More than 50 forks of the 16 focused repositories were created. Double that number of PRs were issued back to the source repositories from more contributors than ever before!

If you were unable to participate but want to see what the fuss was all about, you can watch one of these two videos, Linode Spoke or Special extended Hacktoberfest. You can continue to contribute to the excellent work done in October in any of the repositories by starting with the information in the getting started blog.

Some really interesting contributions were made around Linode, components for tinymce, code-blocks, and assessments. Certainly, more cool contributions you can check out to learn from, use, or contribute to! Feel free to fork any of those repositories and potentially contribute back to them!

See you next year for next Hactoberfest!
