Share utility highlight: Treat your sub-prod email better Guest post by: Jarod Mundt Email Can Be Better There is nothing that bugs me more on the Now Platform than seeing outbound emails without any personalization (logo/color/font updates). I have a love-hate relationship with email. Early in my ServiceNow career, as the sole administrator at a customer (on the Calgary release), some of my first high-visibility updates were based on updates made to the inbound and outbound emails.

Share Contributions This article will take a quick break from the New York Release feature onslaught. The ServiceNow Community is near and dear to my heart. One of those reasons is the willingness of the members to share their experiences, answer questions, and directly share useful utilities and applications for free. The most used mechanism for that is hosted here on the developer website under the share banner. The Editors Choice will now be populated by the Developer Advocates Dave Slusher and Andrew Barnes.

Share Spotlight Welcome to the latest share spotlight! Every Friday we will be spotlighting a project from the Share site on the Developer Portal. SNDocs For this installment, we are featuring a project called SNDocs authored by Callum Ridley. This project adds a couple of script includes and a global UI Action. The goal of this share item is to bring some functionality that is similar to JSDoc. This appears to be an excellent 1.

Share Spotlight Welcome to the Share Spotlight! Every Friday we will be spotlighting a project from the Share site on the Developer Portal. Bulk Download & Naming of Update Sets In this installment, we are looking at a utility called Bulk Download & Naming of Update Sets. In true shareable code fashion, this solves one discrete problem and solves it quite well. When you export and download an update set, you get a cryptically named file based on the sys_id of the update set record.

Insipration So, you want to contribute something back to the community. You have come to the right place. Share is a great way to get handy utilities, inspiration, and help others. A little over a week ago I featured a the Add to Update Set Utility share item by Ben Hollifield. It is a very handy tool and has lots of features that I believe are not well known.

We dug deep and decided to call this “Share Spotlight”.
